here, there, everywhere

A few years before the new year in Chiang Mai, where it is hot and dusty and filled with identical backpacker bars and cafes (as well as - more excitingly - a smattering of English bookstores and a Boots pharmacy!) After getting here late yesterday afternoon, I spent today wandering around from wat to wat in the heat and getting used to dodging tuk-tuks instead of motorcycles (well, in addition to motorcycles).
