One of the comparatively nicer things about being away from home this time around is traveling with a webcam; as dorky as it sounds, I've been able to actually talk face to face with my dad, stepbrother, Lauren and - yesterday night, quite unexpectedly - my grandparents! Even if conversation gets a bit disjointed at times, it's so great just being able to see people's faces; so I'm keeping my fingers crossed wherever we live in Japan will have good internet connection as well.
At any rate: on semi-radio silence for the next few days as we head down to Edinburgh; back in a week or so!
Bonjour,
ReplyDeleteNice framing , lightness and colors..bravo!
I want to go to there.
ReplyDeleteAre you back yet? I heard on NPR this morning that there was some crazy-fun sounding festival there and thought of you. I'm fine aside for the fact that the Suzanne Collins sequel comes out today and I'm not allowed to rush out and buy it because I still got about 11 pages left in this chapter.
ReplyDeletenope, still here - we managed to catch the last few days of the festival, which was fun, and the whole city had a crazy hyped up vibe, which was nice.
ReplyDeletegood luck with your chapter and let me know what you think of catching fire!! i bought the new margaret atwood book in hardcover with POUNDS because she is the only author i love quite that much, and it sucked so hard i can't even put my dissapointment into words yet :(
