Edinburgh!

Also while in Scotland, we took the bus on a daytrip to one of my favorite cities. Edinburgh was the first glimpse I ever  got of Scotland - I first visited almost four years ago - so maybe that's why I like it so much. We didn't do much, though we got to meet up with a friend of Iain's who had visited us earlier this year in Japan, and we also managed to fit in some time to get a haggis (the haggis Iain's sister makes is better).

Also we saw a really happy ghost.

This is the bookstore that was apparently the inspiration for Black Books.

A cute yarn shop (look how fast Iain's running past it!)

We got back into Aberdeenshire after a week spent in Edinburgh and North Berwick, which was lots of fun. In Edinburgh, we caught the tail end of the Fringe Festival, where we managed to get last-minute tickets to see a dystopian rap peformance, this improv group and this guy, all of which were great. At any rate, more photos to follow!
